Maker Spotlight: Magellan Librarian-Liliana Cushing

This Christmas, I wanted to create something truly special for my little girl. I've always felt that handmade gifts have a unique kind of charm, and I knew I wanted to give her something that would be both meaningful and fun. I designed a of couple picture puzzles that help us practice calling her grandparents by name and give her a chance to practice saying “mama” and “dada.” Using the laser cutter to design and craft the pieces was surprisingly easy and so much fun! It really sparked my creativity and allowed me to make something special for her, even with a busy schedule. Ms. Sophia was an incredible guide throughout the whole process, and now I’m excited to continue designing engaging, personalized materials as my little one grows.
