Johanna Mettlach

Having grown up in a military family, Johanna experienced life across various cultures and countries, including Germany, Italy, France, and England. Born in England and holding dual citizenship, she moved to the United States at the age of 12, living in Georgia, North Carolina, and eventually settling in Texas.

From a young age, Johann had a passion for nursing, inspired by personal experiences in and out of hospitals. This early interest led to earning a nursing degree in 1983 from XX, with a career focused primarily on pediatric care. She spent the majority of her career at a children's hospital, serving in roles such as staff nurse, transport coordinator, educator, unit manager, and house supervisor. Dedicated to ongoing education, Johanna balanced raising a family and working full-time while obtaining both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Outside of work, Johnanna enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, in addition to gardening, baking, reading mystery novels, and practicing yoga and meditation.
